About Chapel of Hope >> Chapel of Hope Buildings Across Texas
Chapels are steel frame buildings, with steel siding and concrete foundations. Prisons never go out of business, therefore, faith-based inmate ministry programs will be occurring in these chapels for the next 100 years.
The chapels that have been completed are each averaging over 6,000 inmates visits and 200 volunteer visits per month. Combining the seven chapel units, this means an estimated 42,000 inmates visits and 1,400 volunteers visits will occur in the seven chapels each month. Literally hundreds of volunteers minister in these chapels each month under the supervision of the unit TDCJ Chaplain. When there is space for ministry then ministry will occur.
